Our Rabbi and Rebbetzin

Rabbi Yonoson Hirtz has many years of experience in Jewish education and communal life. Upon receiving Smicha from Rabbi Berel Wein, he and his family moved to Silver Spring, Maryland to teach and lead the community. After almost two decades, his family relocated to Queens, where he assumed the Pulpit of the Utopia Jewish Center and began teaching at Haftr High School. Following the closing of UJC, he began davening and giving shiurim at The Torah Center of Hillcrest.

Rebbetzin Rochelle Hirtz has a stellar career in Chinuch Habanos and is currently the Principal of Shulamith High School for Girls in Brooklyn.

They are the proud parents of five children and, bli ASyin Harah, many grandchildren.
